Using A Drywall Panel Lift

The easiest way to install drywall is to use a drywall panel lift.  It will eliminate many hours of agonizing sore muscles because it does most of the heavy lifting for you.  It is especially useful when you have an overhead ceiling job to do.  Whether you rent or buy a drywall lift, you will reap many benefits by having one and, in the process, you will eliminate many hours of hard labor and muscle-wrenching pain.

If your project involves any kind of vertical installation, then a lift along with drywall stilts will save your back and your disposition!  The two together make the job much easier for you and your helpers.

A lift is really quite a simple device.  It is primarily just a large platform that goes up and down.  A drywall sheet is laid on it and all you have to do is winch the lift up.  Once the drywall sheet is in the right place on the ceiling or wall, all you have to do is nail or screw it on.  It can be a one-person job but will go must faster if there are two of you doing the work.  Ceilings should always be done before walls, starting at one of the corners.  Lifts come in all sizes so make certain the one you buy extends high enough to meet your needs.

A drywall lift for panels can usually accommodate one 4’ by 16’ panel at a time.  It easily snaps together and no tools are required for assembly.  A lift is usually made out of heavy duty steel and is portable (on wheels) so that you can easily move it around.  Using it will make you a “happy camper” at the end of the day because you won’t have nearly as many aches and pains as you would have had without it.  It does all of the hard work for you and lets you use your back for other, more important, things.  You will find that your drywall project is a piece of cake when you use a drywall panel lift.
